In the beginings.

I am looking forward to writing and sharing on this site and will soon add some recent pictures of my trip with my wife and some dear friends to Massanuten Virginia. We stayed at the resort there since all the activity is accessible. The water park, white water rafting and tubing down the Shennendoah river, which was a lot of fun including the scrapes and bumps attempting to keep my dear wife on course in the rapids. The water was shallow (2-4 feet) with the usual dead tree trunks submerged and the various rock formations.
The bird life along the river was varid and the river itself runs through some farms, with cattle in the water cooling themselves on this warm day. Took the scenic "Skyline Drive" to Rt. 33 from Front Royal, which is the entrance to the parkway. It is about 66 miles to Rt. 33 which then takes one to Harrisonburgh Virginia. You could also take Rt. 81, but then the tractor trailers make it somewhat an unpleasnt drive.
